Hiya Guys and Dolls,
Have you ever planned a surprise for someone and been able to pull it off? I have always been pretty good at keeping secrets and planning surprises for someone. I have many, but here is one that i wanted to share with everyone...
My significant other was having a b'day coming up. So i wanted to do something really special for this occasion. Not having a lot of money i decided to get a part time summer job working for the Census Bureau. I worked just a few hours a day at my own pace and never told him i got the job.
I saved every penny i made that summer and planned a trip to Vegas! On the day of his b'day he thought we were going to the Race track. With our luggage already packed in my parents car the night before my parents pick us up.
I told him we had to make one stop at the airport because my cousin was coming in for a visit. He fell for it hook, line and sinker. As i got out of the car at the terminal i asked him to come with me to find her and help with her bag.
As we were walking up and down the terminal i finally stopped in and i said..."we are not picking up my cousin....we are going to Vegas...Happy b'day!! He thought i was pulling one of my classic pranks and took a minute or 2 for him to realize i was serious!! He was so overwhelmed his knees were knocking!
Have you ever got surprised by someone or pulled off a surprise?

That was so sweet of you Lips! Wonderful surprise.
I have never gotten away with it, but I have been trying to plan a trip just like that for my dh. He gets too worked up if he knows beforehand anyway. I have been trying to figure out how to get him to the airport without tipping him off... and now I know! Thanks for the tip. -

Awww,Lips...he must have felt overwhelmed not only because of the surprise you had it for him but by your love...
I love pulling off the surprises for people who I love and care too but one of the most memorable time/surprise/gift was when we(family) went to see one of the football game...while game was playing, all of sudden, my name came up on the big screen in the field with saying, 'I love you,my wife you are the love of my life!' with my favorite song playing...thought that was so special and sweet...well, not at first though...I felt really embarrassed and just wanted to hide my face but soon realized how much troubles he must went through...then I felt so proud and loved.
All my life...I have been so blessed to have my family-my uncles and aunties...the have given me so much that made me feel special... -

I am not good at keeping surprises to myself, I even have my kids believe Santa came early to my house, just so they can open some presents up.
However, last year the greatest thing happened to me. I was 9 months pregnant with Nicky Jr., and my sister in law invited me to her Birthday party. I thought I really didn't feel up to much partying in that state. My hubby ended up talking me into it...
Well Bday night came and my husband was going to drop me off and he was taking the kids to Chuck E. Cheese.
I get there..Knock...when they open the door...SURPRISEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
There was at least 30 people there, and it was my first and only baby shower :'( I was soooooo excited, I got tons of gifts, great food, and a STRIPPER! ahhaha
He chased me into the backyard because I was running from him...lol
Had a great night, and that's the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me in my life...

Wow Lips, my knees are still shaking, even though the surprise wasn't for me. I usually ruin them. I guess I don't really like to be surprised. I was a Brownie, then a girlscout and always needed to be prepared, mentally anyway. I used to unwrap Christmas presents and wrap back up. I learned to wrap presents from ruining those ones. Thank you Lips for having your avatar show how to apply lipstick, in case I need to put some on. There's so many surprises all about all the time. And last but not least I always feel so inclined to laugh especially when I'm not supposed to.

Lips, that was great reading that, i can only imagine his surprize and how lucky he must have felt, to be in total surprize never seeing it coming, and for his birthday too!!
Thats going to be a memorable moment for the rest of both your lives.
Wnanhee, the words "I Love You" big and in lights has to be the ultimate experience from a very romantic man, alot of people dream of that...
Mommy, i loved how they did that, that was a surprize and a half, thinking you are going to someone elses BD and it ends up and big surprize for you!!!!
Helwin, lol.. i have learned that way too, taking a peak and then wrapping it back up cuz we can't wait for that surprize on christmas morning, the art of perfect re-wrapping!!
How wonderful and amazing the hearts of people can be, we are all so lucky and have had alot of wonderous things in our life to cherish!
