    It's quite normal for your puppy to eat some of its poop. It's discovering the world and getting to know its senses. You might check with your local vet if it lacks some minerals or vitamins, as this might also be the reason. Hope you're feeding your dog well. Anyway, don't forget to correct your puppy's unwanted behavior and reward it accordingly. ;)

    well my one dog that i have did that one time and pooped in the house so i rubbed her nose in it and put her outside for a few moments and got a doggie door and she never did either again.

    It's nothing uncommon that dogs eat their own or another animal's poop, on professional medical language that's coprophagia. This kind of behavior is normal for every bitch that must clean up after her puppies, and some of the puppies may end up mimicking this behavior. The first behaviorist who described this kind of behavior in which youngsters imitate their own parents or copy their act was Konrad Lorenz, and he called it imprinting. This behavior is mostly seen in puppies between 4 weeks to 9 months of age. Another reason for your puppy doing this is boredom. And last but maybe most important is that the puppy has a deficiency in some micro-elements and shows weird appetite called alotriophagia.

    i luckely never had that i think it wil go away wen he gets older hope so for you, i only saw my dog eat his own puke wen i saw that i nearly be_sickbut thats wat dogs do.
