  • Since UIGEA passed, it is "easier" to deposit via credit/debit card. But, it did get rid of Ewallets.  It allowed Casinos to use the law as an excuse to discontinue the many vip perks players were use to, take longer to pay winnings.

It has not done much to stop people from playing online.  It did allow the Government to "confiscate" money owed to U.S. players.  It did allow the Government to pick and chose which ewallets and processors it would prosecute, allowing them to ignore the credit card companies and the biggest overseas banks that process large amounts of visa and mastercard and AMEX charges. It allowed Click2pay to stay in business while confiscating u.s. players money.

Players may have suffered somewhat since UIGEA but the casinos have not. So it is just not right that they have continued to delay our payments, reduce our monthly bonuses and stop giving VIP perks such as free gifts, free tokens and the like.

  • I totally agree with you 100%.

  • I shall wait to play online. I will do so ONLY when I can play at MG casinos...I miss them SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

  • Well what is going to happen now with some states making gambling legal. are they going to let online wallets come back for U.S.A huh

  • I would imagine there would be a "USA only" regulated e-wallet.  It makes sense to have one...or two.

  • According to some articles on the Internet, you would have to be physically in the state that allowed online gambling. No matter if you are resident of another state - you have to be physically (as proven by IP address) in New Jersey to gamble in NJ registered online gambling house.

So residents of other states will likely still be as much at risk as before.

  • There is a lot of talk about interstate or intrastate? gambling though - how that works though, is yet to be seen.

  • really you have to live in the state. well I guess that is ok since am in Nevada lol.  thanks for the info smiley

According to this article - not really, you just have to be within state's borders (NJ to be specific): http://articles.philly.com/2013-02-28/news/37333005_1_christie-signs-bill-machines-and-table-games-john-burzichelli

If they make gambling legal in some states you wouldn't need an e-wallet to make a deposit is my guess. They actually would find it easier to track your transactions if you deposit via your bank account/debit or your credit card.

In the meantime, funny how we all used e-wallets prior to the UIGEA and after the law passed it is easy as pie to deposit via debit/credit card.  Go figure.
  • There are so many issues regarding how online gambling would be regulated,  How and what would the online casinos located outside of the Country and within the U.S,. be required to report.  Would they only report winnings over X amount to the irs as land based casinos in the U.S. must do? How would they determine Net Winnings?

IMO, the day the Federal Government gets involved and makes online gambling, including slots, legal is the day I stop playing.

I like things just the way they are.
