Some prayers are needed today.

Hi everyone,as some of you know I have a sick son.He is hospitalized again and he called me(we live in different states and hubby has our one vehicle at work) and they think he might have a pulmonary embolism  :'( . I normally wouldn't ask but it would be great if you could keep him in your thoughts today and maybe say a prayer for him.I'm sorry if I'm bringing anyone down but I think I'm freaking out here alittle,while I sit with the phone by my side.Thanks everyone

Consider it done from me Rosebud and I hope you will hear some good news very soon about his condition improving.  Hang in there and try not to let yourself get all worked up until you know for sure how things are.  Hugs...

i know you dont know me rosebud but i will pray as hard as i can, i have a tulip screen around my heart and lungs to try and keep that from happening. it is scarey, i wll pray for you and your son and so will my whole family and we are a large family hon, i have raised 21 kids and 12 of them are mine so believe me you will get the prayers of the dilley family.

A blood clot in the lung.

My thoughts and prayers are with your son, you and your family. As a mom myself, I know how hard it must be for you to be apart from him right now.

I just got off the phone with Stephen and so far it looks like his lungs are clear.They are still running more test to see if it could be a bleeding ulcer or if maybe a tear in one of his veins.His diease has really took a toll on his veins,as in if they need to draw blood they have to put in a picc line because of the damage to the veins in his arms or hands.. etc.It's a relief that his lungs are clear...thank God. We are waiting to see what is causing the nose bleeds and the coughing up of blood.Thank you all for your concern and your prayers and I will keep you updated when I know more.Sorry if this was alittle to graphic and hopefully you'll understand I'm just giving some info about his health.Once again,thank you..it means a great deal to me!

Thank you all.We are at the hospital now and now we have to wait for tthe results and he'll be having more tests done today.The docs and nurses have been great with him.I hope they are able to give us some info shortly,sometimes they haven't been able to.I'm just glad we are here with him right now.I'll keep you posted if I can.

So glad you are with him Rosebud.  It will be a good thing when they find out what is wrong with him and can start giving him some treatment.  Thanks for the update.

Yes me too Blue.I hope we will get some answers but it hasn't always happened.He's been having seizures for the last few months too and even after cat scans and mri's they have no clue what is causing them.I'm glad they are keeping him as comfortable as they can tho.Hopefully we will get some answers today.

Sorry that it's taken me awhile to post a update.There isn't much more news,he is still coughibg up blood and still in pain but they are keeping him comfortable.They know his esophagus has ulcers on it so after he eats because it irrates it, the irratation will cause him to him to cough up blood.I don't want to get too graphic but hopefully that's what's causing it.His illiness causes ulcers internally along with external ones so it can  affect different parts of his body depending on how bad his outbreak is.Thank you for your concern,it does help me to sometimes have someone to talk (vent) to You are all

Rosebud - Lets hope the doctors can get to the root of what is causing the ulcers.  I hope you are ok Rose and that you get a good nights sleep.  I can imagine how stressed out you are.

Thank you all,Stephen has been reading your posts too when he is up to it.We appreciate your kind words and prayers.It's good for him to know that there are caring people out there.He has lost some friends because they just don't understand this type of illness.We are hoping to be home by Thanksgiving>>>me praying.It will depend on how he does with his meds..embrel for one and he has to do the shot thing so he doesn't develop any blood clots and of course meds for the behcets.I hate to admit but he handles it all alot better than me.Here's to hoping he has no more set backs and they can keep the bleeding under control  

I'm glad Stephen is able to read some of the posts and I'm glad he is getting some treatment.  I hope it all has the desired effect and he is home for Thanksgiving.
