    Recently, a newsstation did a story (Yesterday) about an 80 year old vetran of WW II and Korea and Vietnam. But they found out he's been lying for YEARS about his role in combat, the Rangers and more.



    The link is to the story. Many people have responded that "Yes, he's done wrong, but he shouoldn't be so humiliated"

    I disagree with that thought. He has dishonored the service of many by his lies and "Stolen" glory to those who rightly deserved it.

    He sounds like to me he is just a wee bit of kilter! I am kind of on the fence with this one. Yes, what he did is deplorable but this could not be a normal man.

    What prompted this made up world of his. Was it a dream of his that he couldn't attain? Was it the only way he felt he could be loved?

    Do the crime......pay the time! I am just wondering what made him tick to live his life in such a charade!

    Little lies sometimes, ones like "i caught a fish this big" can be overlooked, but to continue living one and getting any benefits, gratitudes or anything else that envolves the public isn't right. There is something mentally wrong and maybe it's help he needs not the humilation, finding out what casued him to do it.
