tax help

hi guys,

i know we have a resident irs agent, but just cannot remember her name, sorry.

i just want to know if anyone else is running into this, because it is making me crazy...

i did my taxes online, but they told me since i did an itemized 1040, then it would be on hold
to e-file.

they first gave me a date of feb 14.  they said the irs is not accepting any e-files until this date, and
would let me know when it goes thru.

now here it is, two days later, and still i hear nothing.  am i getting screwed, or is this the truth?
because i am getting nervous waiting, and my car just got repoed, so i need that money...NOW!

i have been using TAXACT for years, but for some reason, my computer security was giving me problems with it this
year, so i used a cheap one i never heard of called e-smarttax.com

i didn't know if they were messing with me, or if this was something for real.  i do know the irs was not accepting any more efiles till after the 14th, but i have not heard anything, and thats what makes me upset...i need the money so i can get my car back.

yes, the IRS was not accepting the 1040's with the itemized deductions because changes to the law came so late.  This doesn't apply to me, and I owe, so, I can't say if they are accepting it now,  but it looks like it.  Have you contacted the folks at 3-smarttax.com?  They most likely have thousands of people waiting, not just you, and may be processing as quickly as they can.  Sounds like you should be asking them to go ahead and send it, or to let you know when it will be sent.  All we can do is tell you we have heard about the delay and if we've been able to go ahead.  I hope yours has been sent so you get your cash soon.

i was learning to get better about managing my money, everything sh*t the bed at once.

I miss my car, too.  But you are right, what a hard decision, car or gambling!  But you've an end in sight, so hang in there.  Go play some free bingo!  Or play in freemode at your favorite casino, where you can pretend you've got $100,000 dollars to spend!  Woo-hoo!

actually i have been practicing...hahaha

i finally got the irs straightened out.  i had a couple problems why mine didnt go thru.  i had some conflict with the insurance, and i could not sign the consent form because i had internet explorer 9, and the browser really stink.
it does not give you enough window...i tried everything, even zooming down, etc.  finally i went back to IE7, and i can't even believe how much faster my computer is running.  best thing i ever did, and my money will be in my account in 10 days.    so it was a win/win.
