Taxes.. not a headache anymore..

Taxes aren't a headache anymore, nor does it have to take half your refund for preparation and rapid delivery fees..i remember one year i paid 300.00 just for fees, i remember recieving 2 pounds of paper to go with that 300.00.. i was sick over that.. this year got my taxes done and paid 39.99.. what a deal.. i found ways to get it done via internet and found it to be easy as pie, you don't even have to wait for your w2's or any other type forms those can be downloaded viewed and incorporated right into your tax preparation, although IRS doesn't accept returns until Jan 17th mine are done and in line and set up for direct deposit within 7 days of acceptance.. i can't help but feel so excited for the refund, the money i saved and proud for doing them myself..

If you're dreading taxes, don't, they are so simple to do now adays, it's not as intimidating as you would think, took me about an hour, i'm breathing easy and happy to say... I didn't get a headache!

Search the internet, i used Turbo Tax, your first time is all free.. they helped with all the forms and my w2's, every step was explained along the way, they let you practice, or even start over, check and recheck for mistakes or anything that is missing, they won't send it til YOU are happy.. give it a try at least..

I've been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years now to do my taxes and "knock on d..." have never been audited...SO simple even a caveman can do it (oops...wrong commercial).  I've even had a couple of businesses as well as rental income during the past years and still, quite simple.  Unless you have some real complicated issues going on with your finances/taxes, there isn't any reason not to try one of these products...and save the hefty fee paid to CPA's/Tax prepare companies.

I use TaxAct online to do my taxes and like hymacaw have been doing that for the past 10 years or so with no problems. They take you through it step by step and bring up ideas that might pertain to your tax situation so you don't miss any deductions or other things to report. Once you put in the information they make all the extra forms you need for this and that to go with your return. E-file right there for Federal and State and set direct deposit for any refunds and the money is in your account very soon thereafter. I love it... my old tax accountant just got more and more expensive every year and I would do more and more in preparation so it would cost less and it still went up. Go for it, you too can do it!

I learned my lesson when I dealt with H&R Block..(1993) What a bunch of blockheads frankly. Lost  my return TWICE and misplaced the W-2 forms and then tried to charge me extra for them having to find and recover and redo the forms!  >:( >:( 

When I went into the office to get my paperwork they wanted $250 I said "Oh really? How about I call (Local news station) and let them know what I went through with your ineptness?"  :`o

Next thing you know they dropped it to $75 (Still a rip off) and I left, never to return.  8p

I just tried the "Free" Tax Act and yes, it's free BUT You are being PESTERED with ads like I was when I was trying to renew my car tags!!

After 4 pop ups I said screw it and I just finished it by downloading the forms and instructions from the IRS and filling out it and then printing it. Yes, I also wrote to the Tax Act people and complained about this "Free" service.

Now, this weekend I'll get a prepaid envelope and set it up for mailing.

I filed my taxes,they got accepted on the 18th, i have been waiting ever since.. i got my first expected date of DD on Jan 25th,then feb 1st, then feb 7th then feb 21st. something about if you filed before the 26th of Jan you got delayed because of the new system put in by the IRS.. now everyone i know got theres already.. but me.. i thought i was doing the right thing filing early and maybe having some extra money early.. now it feels like a nightmare with fears like.. am i gonna get audited or something?
