    Hiya LCB'ers,

    Since Mother's Day is fast approaching here is some Mothers of all time!

    The record for most children born to a single couple belongs to the first wife of Feodor Vassilyev of Russia. In 27 pregnancies between 1725 and 1765 she gave birth to 16 pairs of twins, 7 sets of triplets, and 4 sets of quadruplets for a grand total of 69 children.

    Maria del Carmela Bousada 66 became the world's oldest mother when she gave birth to Christian and Pau in 2006 - after fibbing to IVF docs at a private clinic in the US about her age claiming she was 55 the age limit for the procedure.


    Wow can ya even imagine 69 kids! And Maria giving birth at age 66....do you think she was wrong in wanting to have a child at that age?

    I dont think so. Everyone is entitled to have children, and I don't believe there should be an age limit. With that said, I couldn't imagine going through another pregnancy, even at 29!!!

    Now 69 kids, on the other hand, is a bit much IMO. I could not imagine how all of those children all got the attention they deserved. Back then, things were different however, so I can't really be sure about that.

    LMAO...becoming a mother at 66. shockedThat's older than I'm right now and I'm a grandmother and a great grandmother!!!!No way would I want to start over.Love my kids and grand ones too but I need my peace and quiet especially when I'm having a senior moment grin.Happy Mother's Day all!!! kiss

    Ok kind of sad, but I *think* I read that mother of 66 years old passed away recently, leaving a young kid.  So yes, I think it was selfish and wrong.  I get the 'any woman should be able to' but she wasn't able to, she had a procedure done.  Now- I am all for helping couples who have fertility issues, this was a different selfish matter altogether.  The child is here, and thank god for he/she, but I don't think it was right, no.

    Oh and 69 kids?????  no frickin way laugh_out_loud.  I am happy with my 2, I can't even imagine 4 right now lol
