A really sad story with a happy ending.

Im very happy to see the positive epilogue to this very sad story.

What im not so much happy to see however is when people rescue a dog and ask for a donation afterwards, i kinda feel like if you really want to rescue a dog you just go and do it by yourself (not advocating anything, just my personal oppinion i taught i could share).

3 years ago my girlfriend and i decided to have a dog so we went and rescued a lab mix. A bit later, we found a puppy size of a hand sleeping in our front door so we rescued him also. Than couple of months later we found a female golden retriever mix puppy so we rescued her too. Than our first adopted dog Cesar brought a very little hairy puppy with him from somewhere (we found them together sleeping in the same kennel ) so that was the frourth dog we adopted. Last but most probably not the least i bought a german shepherd recently so that is 5 dogs.

With life in serbia below average, i still dont feel like asking for donations, help or anything similar even though i could buy a solid car just from all the veterinary bills we payed in last 3 years.

With just a tiny bit of good will, mirracles can happen.

I understand where you are coming from; asking for a donation afterwards is not right at all.  I only posted it because of the story.

Sounds like you are running your very own rescue service drtheolen with 5 dogs.  Kudos to you.

So am I, drtheolen even tho I didn't watch the video. I can't stand to see the suffering some animals go through. I don't even want to hear about it. Breaks my heart 

I too, have 5 dogs, all strays or pound dogs. I would take every single one if I could.

On TV they advertise constantly for donations for the shelters that care for the animals they rescue, i don't mind them at all, the ads are saddening though and make you want to just go down there and rescue every one of them (i wish i could). It's huge amounts of animals by day that are brought in or picked-up so i don't have any decrepencies of the legitimacy for the money. BUT if you are going to adopt a pet or care for any animal you should be able to care for it financially because thats part of the reason the animals end up they way they do. It's so heartbreaking and despicable what harm and torture some humans will do to innocent animals, it's reality we can't shove under a rug.

That was just so awesome. I'm sure the operation costs $ To later see that dogs bouncing around joyfully and well cared for was truly a wonderful thing.

Oh yes.. i do need to say that the video was awesome love the happy ending, i wish it could always be this way or even better, never having the sad part of it happening in the first place
