  • It has become apparent to me that I only play casinos just to play. In all the years I have been gambling, I have only once seen a cashout, and that was for $250 and was won on a free chip. I rarely come out ahead and the few times I do, it's never enough. I just keep right on playing no matter what my balance is until it's right down to zero! Yesterday I finally had the chance to make a rather large cashout, but instead I just kept right on playing until there was nothing left...at one point had almost $3000. I even came here to make a post in an effort to not be so idiotic and actually cashout, but that didn't work. I would like to say that I'm being greedy and wanting more but twice I had my balance up over 15k and still never cashed a dime....that being said all I can say for gambling is that for me it's just a hobby to spin reels I guess since I never want the money I win and 9 times out of 10  I never even get my balance above my starting point. I've never made an effort to quit gambling but I think the time has come for it to end. I'm so disgusted with my own stupidity right now and just the thought of playing is making me nauseous

  • i do the same satan, im sorry, i wish we could withdraw, it is hard too though, but i do love spinning the reels too smiley

i wish you the best though

  • Satansmuff, I can hear the frustration and anger in your words.  I tottally get where you are coming from.  Once you learn to cashout and enjoy your winnings, you would be more disciplined but, you gotta get to that place where you learn to cashout first.  The fact that you have realised you dont have the discipline to cashout is a huge step forward.

You are a very strong person and I hope you find a substitute passtime that gives you the thrill and enjoyment that you get from gambling.

I admire you for being so honest with yourself and of course, all of us.

  • Yeah...lol, FARMVILLE has been keeping me from gambling, I havn't gambled much lately and after what I did to myself yesterday I honestly don't think I want to play anymore...the way I play it's better for me to use free bonuses therefore it already has a set max cashout so once i reach that point I know I would cashout because there's nothing left to gain...my only cashout was a free chip and that was the only time i ever met playthrough on one

  • one more thing...whats even worse it how the casinos set you upto fail. Once you make a cashout that should be that...but no, they are counting on you to go broke and reverse it...which is why they have such a long waiting period before they even look at it. I did cashout several times last night...but the minute I did that I just started losing...then hit the reverse button, just like they were hoping I would sad    I have seen it myself and heard many people complain it's like an off switch they hit when you request a withdrawl...alot of people say the machines turn to ice the minute you submit that request. I really wonder if there is any truth to that...unlike land casinos these ones are all computer generated by people and who honestly knows what "switches" there hitting and is there a way to really even tell what someones doing to a comupter system??

all we have is speculation satan, we dont know, all we can do is speculate how they work and if there is a on and off switch casinos can use, i think there is a way they get fixed, but we just dont know, casinos are meant to be moderated by companys, and to be honest, they dont care either, because i tryed complaining once to alderney and it didnt get anywhere, and also another thing, most casinos get checked about once a month at random, so websites dont know when they get checked, its just too hard to know the truth of how they really work, and we shouldnt know anyway to be honest because then we would choose not to play if we did

  • Hi Satan,

I think even beyond agreed it is the thrill of spinning. When you are a gambler a big part is getting caught up in the action. Like when i walk into a land casino i always say to myself please don't let me win the second i get there because i know i won't turn around and walk out because i want to keep on playing.

I really try to focus on how sick i have felt to give it all back and it helps to not blow it all and give it back (sometimes)!

I applaud your openness to talk about it and it might be just what you needed to do to be more careful next time to cash out.

Hope a big cashout comes your way soon.

    Lips
  • I do it every single time... and then when i do finally cash-out.. I GO BACK!  :'(

But there is something i learned to do that really helps.. i have a limit on what i spend and i'm very strong about it, i have a certain amount direct deposited to a card, i realize i'm gonna gamble i'm not stopping.. so when this certain amount that is set aside is gone,no matter how hard myitchy to go.. i don't dip into my other finanaces, sometimes if i win a little, i'll add it to the card, say 100.00 i'll re add 50, theres alot of people that live in Vegas that do this

  • Lips...I'm the exact opposite at a land casino..I hope a win big as soon as I get there...not so I can go home a winner but so I'm guaranteed my money will last a bit longer. but then again when I go to a casino it's not an option to hit big and go home since there are no casinos near me. If I'm at a land casino it's either Vegas or Atlantic City and when I go to either it's always for 1 week.

Imagination...I too don't spend more than I have. I take what money I might use to go out with on a Friday night and instead buy a case of beer and put the rest online and stay in. As you can imagine not much of a social life here lol, but I awlays feel better and safer staying in rather than going out. This way I can listen to whatever music I want (not what the dj's playing or jukebox) I can drink how much I want (not when the bartender decides I've had enough) and don't have to worry about drinking n driving, drunk drivers or police smiley

  •               Oh man,  Satansmuff, we have all so been there.    When I go into a land casino,  I tell people it's best to have an "upside" person.  What's that?  I'm glad you asked.    That's someone (a spouse, friend) it really doesn't matter who,  when you're about $600 UP!  they smack you upside the head and say "cashout now and gimme so and so amount,  A@#$%^&!!!  and play with the rest.    They are sort of your safety bank, net whatever...        Good Luck.  You'll be all right ,  maybe just a cool down  for a while.

    Satan,

Kudos to you for staying in when drinking.  Much safer that way.

If I went to a land casino for one week they would have to send me home in a box.  That is way too long for me in a casino.  I fortunately have a casino 15 minutes from here so I can leave and go home at any time.  It is mostly when I am broke, but sometimes a winner.  I never know when to quit either.

I have started playing poker tournaments again.  I only deposited $40 in the last 3 weeks.  Passes the time and it is a big thrill to cash in a tourney no matter how small.  Give it a try.

    Good luck to you.

  • funny you said that....my ex was kinda like that person only opposite...instead of taking my winnings he just took all my money and distibuted it me in small amounts. He always plays poker and I head to the slots and instead of giving me all my money he hands me $50-$100 at a time and says don't come back for 3 hours, lol. Sometime I'd get p'oed and demand I want all my money and after getting tired of my attitude he finally hands it over with a warning...if you lose it all in an hour do NOT come asking me for money! Later....usualy 2 hours not 1, lol...I'm broke and need money....he does give it to me but now only $20 at a time and it's so funny how I can blow $1000 in a couple hours but those little $20's he hands me...well, I can make them last forever! lol

Haha you are so right, so many times i wished i had my daughter with me, she sure would be there with "Mooooooom cash out now!!!" and i do it! By myself i sit like a greedy person with 500 in the machine not giving up, telling myself.. get away from me im not cashin'out, this next bet is IT.. tryna hit the big one.. gosh thats so bad, but it's soooo goood!
  • I can cashout from land casions and do very often. If I get a machine up I'll play it down to an even number and get my little cash ticket and put another $20 in to try again or change slots. I think thats the problem with online vs land is we don't have that option to cashout and start over, your full balance just sits there and so do you! lol. Plus i get so stuck on games online and never leave a machine whether it's doing good or bad. If it's good I keep thinking it's not done, if it's bad I keep thinking..it's coming, it's coming! But at land casino's I've got like 20 different slots I'm looking at that are "calling" me so I can easily print out that ticket or say this game sucks and move right on the the next one, lol

  • When we have alot of money on us we are careless and less stressed so we go through it quicker, our bets are higher and we think.. well heck lost a hundred i still have 400 in my hand, i can still play.. then it gets lower and lower.. you're down to the last 20 you don't want to leave yet.. so we make that 20 last forever even playing a penny atta time..  lmao.. or maybe trying to get back that 500 to start all over again.. ive got to get it in my head.. these casinos are always going to be there but i'll act like i can never come back.. like its my only chance...

satan, i agree with the staying at home and having your drinks, more relaxing and fun, less worry about safety or being too buzzed to drive, got the casinos right there on the PC to enjoy

  • yeah...I guess I shouldn't feel so bad for admitting that....after all everyone here is prolly doing the exact same thing! lol

  • yeah...I guess I shouldn't feel so bad for admitting that....after all everyone here is prolly doing the exact same thing! lol

Ummmm...yeah, that would be me for sure.  I am probably worse than you satan but I just don't admit it.  I cashed out over $4000 the past 6-8 weeks and spent it all back to the online casinos....I had "plans" for the money before it hit my account but as soon as it got there...my plans changed, as they always do.  I have some real big cowboy boots that I use to kick myself in the a@# quite often...you're welcome to borrow them anytime...it does make me behave for a little while and then I digress back into my terrible 'loser' behavior.  You are NOT alone m'dear!  And did it make you feel just a little bit better to admit it...to a public forum, for cryin' out loud!!  You are way braver than me smiley
  • Lol....I meant that I don't do anything on my weekends but stay home and play, but yeah...that too, I'm such a loser when it comes to cashing out!

  • Poor Muffy.  I think I must be weird.  Since I am limited to 10x where I mostly play online now if I am lucky enough (which is rare) I immediately put in for a withdrawal for my max amount and leave it and wait 5 weeks to get my money.  I take the highest bonuses I can find and deposit between $50 to $70 and usually start with 470 to 530 credits.  If I play on Friday night or Saturday I usually get 4 to 5 hours of play.  Sunday deposits usually last playing off and on all morning, afternoon and night.  I usually have a balance left to lose on Monday.  This is playing between $1 to $2 a spin.

Muffy, since u end up losing your credits u should do what I do.  I never expect to do a cashout.  I play to de stress.  I found out that one of the rogue rtg casinos has an 800% 1st deposit bonus.  Heres the thing.  For some reason u can use that code as many times as u want.  On the 1st deposit with this code  your playthru shows up as usual.  After the 1st time your deposit and bonus total shows up as withdrawable even though it isnt.  One time I thought I was close to reaching my playthru I asked customer service what my playthru was.  He said hold on let me look.  He came back and said your deposit and bonus must have been done manually.  I sat at the computer laughing.  Here I was 4,500 short on my playthru and the slots went dead.  I call this getting the max bonus out of a small deposit.  Its perfect if u end losing your credits wether u can cash out or not.

Lastly to show how weird I am, over 3 months I might had deposited like $2,500 at 5 different rtg casinos.  Within a week period I cashed out $700 at 1 place and $630 at another.   I waited my 5 weeks and the checks came a week apart.  I deposited them into my checking account and bought a 55 inch LG lcd hdtv.  If I didnt blow $2,500 to get $1,330 in the end I could have bought a larger screen hdtv.  As it turns out 55 inches is plenty big for my livingroom.  Oh, my cheap Sony surround sound system for my hdtv sounds great.

  • Lol....I meant that I don't do anything on my weekends but stay home and play, but yeah...that too, I'm such a loser when it comes to cashing out!

Ooops..well uh...guess I just admitted that I'm a big ole loser too then huh?  Dang...I hate when that happens.  But at least you know you aren't alone in "that" way now right....and I bet you are at least smiling about it all now too smiley
  • I hope it will help to know you are not the only one. In the last couple months I lost $22k, $17k, and $9k all which started from $25 deposits, no joke.

  • wink  well, In my case if I go to a land casino....I do not know when to quit & will play until I get sick of me loosing exclamation! My husband keeps coming back to see me at those machines, checking the winnings & telling 'cahsout' cashout now' exclamation You think I listen NO.......

With online I used prepaid card max 50$ & play every free chips I can find even if I know I cannot cashout!!!! Why?  Checking how long I can go with the free chips...sick!!! No fun with fun money no challenge

I think I willl quit to & find an other hobby lol!
