To my LCB Family

Hi Everyone... I just wanted to let everyone know that i won't be around for a while. On October 1st i was diagnosed with stage 3 Breast Cancer and I'm going to the hospital today. My spirits are high and i have my family. Your prayers are appreciated. I will miss everyone.

Ahhh Lucy am so sorry to here this news. You will be missed and i am sending out prayers to borrow each and every guardian angel from the LCB family to rest on your shoulders and wishing on all the stars in the heavens for a a quick recovery.

Thank You my LCB family for all your prayers and support. I am home now the doctor feels that i have a very good chance of beating this horrible disease. They did a pet scan and the cancer is only on the one breast, it did not spread, thank god. I had my first chemo treatment on Wensday, there will be 4 treatments of chemo. Your prayers and my family and friends prayers definitely saved my life.

Lucy, I am holding good thoughts for you...and am so sorry you and your family must endure such a terrible thing.  I had a scare a couple years ago and was so very blessed to have had it turn out to be nothing but now I am faithful about annual exams and mammos.  As everyone else has already said...hold your head up and stay as positive as you can during this difficult time. 

Lucy, We haven't had a chance to get acquainted yet. But, I do know what you're going through. I am a 5 year survivor of stage III colon cancer.

I, too, had multiple rounds of chemo and six weeks of high-dose radiation followed by radical abdominal surgery. People would ask "how could you do all that?" Lucy, you now know the answer "because you have to"
I remember coming home from the hospital with tubes sticking out of me, unable to even roll on to my side. My body surgically altered forever. Blessed like you, my cancer had not spread.
You know what; in time I did roll on to my side, and -one by one- all the tubes were removed, and my body and spirit eventually did heal That was 5 years ago. Every indication is that the cancer is gone from my body.

Just know that: as awful as it is right now for you, the day will come (and sooner than you think) when your body will be completely healed, you'll feel good again, you'll laugh, and the pain and fear will be but a fading memory. Remember this.

To my Lcb family,

As of today,  I am finally.CANCER FREE.. Thank you all for your support you have shown me thru the years.
I just have some reconstructive surgery left and shots I have to do monthly to stay cancer free. Life is good and God is good. My prayers are with everyone who is battling cancer. You can do it.

I'm personally waiting to go in for a mammogram on a lump so its a matter close to my heart and its great to see this and that it can be beaten

Lucy I'm so sorry to hear this news.  I will definitely be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, I know you can put up a good fight against this!

I was hesitant to read this thread this morning, more scared than anything, but so glad I clicked on it. Great news Lucy!!  Anyone that can say they are cancer free are the biggest winners in my book. I look forward to reading more update posts and seeing a big smile on your face. Hugs to you Lucy  and continued prayers for you.
