  • The Terms and Conditions are fairly standard for each casino and each bonus, but they also differ in some small, but important areas.

I am not here to discuss the general T&C's that apply to almost all casinos and bonuses. I have been going through the fine print at each casino I frequent one at a time and I have noticed a few items that have made me step back and rethink whether or not I want to deposit or even come back in some cases. I think that all online gamblers will Benefit from my observations.

I know this has been said time and again but it bears repeating. Yes, the legal blah blah is boring but actually reading them can save you money and unnecessary frustration. If there is a section or even a single word or phrase that you think is obscure  do not hesitate to contact the chat agents or email support for clarification, you won't be sorry.

Here are a few things that have had me scratching my head. This is an excerpt from a bonus that is frequently used, you may recognize it but do you know what it means.

" Play at the following games, and any variants, count toward play through requirements at a reduced rate: Game Type: Kaboom (1/2)"

I wondered what type of game  kaboom is. After way too long I finally asked. I was absolutely stunned at the answer. Kaboom games refer to all slots. Yes ALL SLOTS are kaboom type games. That is what I was told by the live chat support at several casino sites. I had to make sure that I didn't misunderstand or was misinformed  so I asked at more than 5 sites. Confirmed. I believe that they are starting to phase out that classification but be aware that it is a major factor in how long it takes to reduce your wagering requirements. I still don't know what the term kaboom type means and nobody I have talked to can define it, they just say. That's what they are.

I have taken to using only No Rules bonuses or no bonus at all. I don't like restrictions on my money. I want to spend it how I want, where I want  and in the increments I want. Be aware that not all NRB's are equal and they do have some rules. They usually mean that there are no cash out limits and no wagering requirements.(Minimum 1X playthrough is required for money laundering laws). Some of these sweet bonuses also come with no or few game restrictions, usually live dealer games are excluded, and no maximum bet limit. But that is not always the case and some actually do have cash out limits although they will be high. Check the details so you know what your limits are.

Clean money, ie. Deposits with no bonus attached. This is where a number of casinos lost my business. You would expect that your money should be used as you please as, long as the casino has no thumb in your pie, right? Quite often that is not the case. So, I expected the standard 1X WR, but a number of sites require the same 35X or more as for bonus monies. WTF! I almost lost it when I first heard that. In my opinion there is no reason for such high wagering requirements. They will claim that it is to prevent money laundering  but that can be covered with a 10X or 15X at most. Anything higher is greed. Couple the outrageous WR'S with the reduced rate of kaboom games it's a wonder anybody meets the conditions for cashing out. There are also some casinos that will put a cash out limit on your clean deposits. I have seen some as low as 5X deposit. Unbelievable.

In conclusion, finally right?, No matter what type of player you are. Get to know the T&C's. It just might be the best time you've spent being bored to near death.

    Thank You for reading this.

  • Thank you for sharing your observations and insights regarding the Terms and Conditions of online casinos and bonuses.

It is indeed crucial for online gamblers to carefully read and understand these T&Cs to avoid any surprises or frustrations later on. It's always advisable to seek clarification from customer support if any aspect is unclear to ensure you make informed decisions.

  • Interesting. If Kaboom refers to all slot games, I don't understand why they don't simply use Slot. Thanks for sharing.

  • That's not the worst thing I've seen at a T&C casinoworried

  • That is a good question, but I am not sure that the live chat representatives will have access to that kind of insight.

I was going to give my opinion about the possible motivation, but anything I say in that area would be purely conjecture and irrelevant.

     Thanks for the question.

  • What is the worst thing that you've seen in the Terms and Conditions?

To be honest, I have read quite a few, but by no means all or as many as I should. They are crammed with much that seems to me to be objectionable although not a deal breaker. There are some things that wouldn't fly at brick-and-mortar casinos, at least as far as I know from my limited experience at Vegas casinos that are common practice at online venues.

    Interested,
