Update on "giving up my vice"

I posted several weeks ago that I was forced to give up my only true vice (besides gambling) which was tanning in sunbeds or outdoors when I have the time...because I noticed a bump on my leg that didn't look right a few months ago...decided to go have it checked out in October and sure enough, it was a form of skin cancer.  I am happy to report that the final biopsy came back from the lab after my doctor removed a pretty good chunk 'o flesh from my leg...she successfully removed all the cancerous tissue and all is good for now.  I still have a few spots on my body that I need to keep a close eye on but this one...had me running scared and I am SO THANKFUL that it is gone from my body!!  I am having terrible withdrawals from not getting into a tanning bed...besides the nice little color it gives me...it just always made me feel good especially in the cold weather but cancer is not worth that happy feeling anymore!  So, a good way to end the year for me....as well as a few nice cashouts from some RTG casinos....not bad at all    Well, I do have a nasty looking scar & indentation from the excision area but I'll get over it!

So glad its been sorted hymacaw.  Sounds like you will have a good Christmas, what with your recent withdrawals too.

Some great news just before Christmas. It's spray tan for you lady  I'm so glad all is well.

        Hey, hymacaw, that's good news.  I'm glad you got that taken care of.  UV from the sun, (or tanning beds)  is unhealthy even though the tans look great.  It's safer inside the house, gambling online where those mean 'ol rays can't harm you.    Oh yeah,  Rosebud,  love the picture.

You guys are the coolest...thanks so much for all the nice comments/replies!  Here is a pic of my battle-wound from this morning...got my stitches out yesterday.  It is healing ok I guess...it is about 1" x 1/2"...just glad it was on my leg & not my face!

And yes...I already bought a can of some recommended spray tan just to see if it really works as good as I was told!  I've had a tan for about the last 25 years folks....I feel kinda naked without one  ;D

It's not a big scar, it should heal nicely.
