US Secession?

More than 100,000 Americans have petitioned the White House to allow their states to secede from the US, after President Barack Obama's re-election.

The appeals were filed on the White House's We the People website and most of the 20 states with petitions voted for Republican Mitt Romney.

I find this quite surprising to be honest as I always saw the US as a nation that always tends to stick together, especially through difficult times. What do you think?

I heard about that this morning but they mentioned only Texas. Hmm... I wonder how this is going to end.

When it comes to Democrats and Republicans it's a loaded gun and like talking about religion. Everyone has strong beliefs and in each camp they are going to fight for what they think is the right way to run our country.

It was a very close race and i think what the US really needs to change is the Electoral College vote that determines the winner and not by the popular vote. So even if the American people vote for one President it means nothing because the Electoral vote rules.

The US is definitely in a state of flux that's for sure. Controversy is a good thing and it is what opens the door to new ideas and a new government. I don't really think any country is happy with their government but fortunately we have the Freedom of Speech to bark back.

That petition is nothing but a crock because there is no way O'bama is going to be thrown out of the White House even if there was a million signatures. It is a waste of time, but some die-hard voters don't want to give up.

When the chips are down and i mean really down that is when u see the country united. Our world is changing so drastically that i think the entire world is due for a cool change.
