Vacation Plans this Summer

Hi all! Just wondering if anyone has any plans to take a vacation this summer and where to. My fiancé and I are planning a small getaway to Traverse City, Michigan this July. Being from Illinois, we don't have too much near us that is actually drivable. Traverse City is just under a 5 hour drive for us, and has probably the most beautiful parts of Lake Michigan.

Anyone planning anything more exciting?

My friend from Chicago once sent me images of Lake Michigen, and it's very beaturiful over there, so I'm sure you'll have fun. 

I haven't made any plans yet.... I've been dealing with bureaucrats here for a while. Finally, I am able to relax a bit so no more planning.... at least, not for now. :D

im going to tallin in estonia next month. i intend to do some shopping there as it is a fraction cheaper there than here in finland! ive never been there before but i hear it is a nice city to visit?

I will spend my holidays in Marrakech, it is a city of Morocco that offers the best quality of life.

@maiwen - I will also be visiting Marrakech soon! I head to Johannesburg first to visit family and friends and then Marrakech at the endf of June. Looking forward to the food and tasty sweets:)

It is beautiful! Not quite like the ocean but as close as I'll get on a regular basis! Enjoy your relaxation time =)

I usually spend my summers in Greece. It's a country with the best food, friendly people, nice beaches and great history. I always choose a different island to go to. Each island is special on its own way when beaches and food are in question. I've already made my plans and I'm going to Santorini and then Mykonos in two weeks time. Never been there before so I'm very happy and excited to see them since they are one of the most beautiful islands in Greece. 

If everything turns out as planned, I'll be going to Greece beginning of September, it's only for a week or so, but god do I need a break, this year has not been good to me at all. 

But I always wanted to visit the good ole USA, especially the Pacific Northwest. Maybe next year! You know there have been Sasquatch sightings near Lake Michigan, if you see one take a picture and post it here

No plans yet but I really do need a break and will probably go somewhere nice and quiet, probably one of the Greek islands or maybe somewhere by the sea in Slovenia or Montenegro. 

I'm going to Greece/Sithonia the place called Sarti in August and trust me I can't wait the beginning of August. Never been there before, but I hear only good things about that place.

My "dream" vacation would be going to Las Vegas. I have never been there before. Years ago I had the opportunity to go to Reno and stayed at the Hilton. Had a blast and couldn't lose!

Wow, you MUST go to Vegas! Been a few times, and in addition to gambling, there is so much to see and do. That's really cool that you've been to Reno, though! I've always had an interest in checking it out, but have never gotten around to it.

i would really like to go to my brothers in tennessee. he just bought a home by the lake there and i havnt seen him and his wife for a while, and i miss them. ty

I've plans for next week. Going to camping in Luxemborg with my gf for 10 days! That's my first time experience! I'm so excited, happy and i will be inactive for a while.. Do we always have to have a plan for vacation? I do not have any plans for this summer, but for autumn I do have! So, what I am going to do in this summer...? Well, enjoy the Finnish summer (+10 deg at the moment!)

I like summer very much and always look forward to my vacation somewhere at the seaside. I always plan my trip in advance.

Great plans to travel, I'm a little jealous you all. For sure i  will stay home and watch  mudial 2018.

Anyone can give me hint? In mid October (it is a one week holiday Finnish schools), where should I go in Europe in order to enjoy sunny and warm weather?

I’m sorry I can’t help you because I have little knowledge of Europe and I’ve never traveled there myself. In fact the only place outside of Canada that I’ve been to was Florida. I don’t travel very often but when I do I prefer to travel parts of Canada. I also perfer to go camping or to a cottage over travelling.

My next adventure though is white water rafting on the Ottawa River. I did this for the first time last summer and I plan to do it again this year. The company I went with is called Wilderness Tours and they have a lot more than just rafting. It’s a whole resort with several activities and camping close by. Overall, I had a thrilling experience and can’t wait to do it again!

I'd say Cyprus. The temperature in October still remains quite hot there and the sea temperature is still warm, so swimming, sunbathing and other beach activities are still possible.

Last summer I visited Barcelona and since then I cannot stop going there. I fell in love with this city. Every time I go there, it makes me love it even more. The best thing is people for me. Where I come from, we are very closed people. And the first time I was shocked how easy to meet someone there. 

The atmosphere is just incredible. Maybe I will go again this summer, or maybe I need to discover something new for me. I have never been to Paris so maybe it will be my next destination. Or something close to the sea. 

Didn't made any plans for now but let's hope some surprising trip could pop up in the autumn, it could be even better that way.

Don't have any idea where and when though.

as of right now i have no vacation plans. We will plan a lot of vacetions if we ever hit the lottery or get a settlement. I would like to go to the casino  and play in the slot room all day. lol

I would like to take my nieces to the happiest place on earth - Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.  I am a big kid at heart and still love the experience at the magic kingdom.

I spent 4 days in Kelibia, it's a small country in Tunisia where the sea is wonderful one of the best on the world. We had a lot of nice moment with my family. Now I'm boosted again for a new gambling week.
