    Hiya LCB'ers,

    What movie, recent or all time movie did you cry or have to fight back the tears when you watched it? One all time movie for me was Elephant Man. The original movie that was filmed in black and white.

    When ever i am asked what movie was the saddest one i have ever seen, although there is so many....that is always the first thing that comes to my mind. I have not really been able to watch it again. Flipping through channels now and again, cable will air it and i have to turn it off.

    The most recent one i saw was Marley and Me. Omg.........don't show me no movies where a dog dies....... :'(!

    I have not had the courage to watch Marley and Me yet. I had to put down my 15 yr old Border Collie this past Sept. 18, so I'm not ready for that one yet. Some films that come to mind are:
    Bambi
    Dumbo
    Terms of Endearment
    Titanic
    Charlottes Web

    Don't laugh at me when i say this.. but it is very true.. "The Lion King".. the part where his father dies.. it just takes my heart away.. chokes me badly  :'(

    And another one is in the movie The Matrix Revolution, the train station scene, where he talks about love and what you would do for that emotion..  :'(

    I completely understand why you can't. Don't watch it. I know the sorrow your going through and am very sorry for that loss  :(.

    It's interesting you would chose some Disney movies, they are heart breakers! I remember when i was like 5 years old and saw Lady and the Tramp and the scene where the dog gets hit by the car. I think i cried for a half hour after the movie was over.

    Many years later i saw it again and couldn't believe that the scene actually took place in the middle of the movie! Remembering being so shook......i thought for sure it was near the end.

    Why do they make such tear jerkers for kids?

    O so many movies that made me cry but this one really did...A MUST SEE!!!
    Flash(Disney movie) I cried and cried so much that after the movie, I couldn't open my eyes for a while...
    The film details the story of a child Conner Strong , who visits a horse every day in hopes of buying it. To do so, Conner finds work as a delivery boy to save enough money for his dream. Conner lives with his father David and grandmother Laura , but when they do not have enough money to repay the bills, Conner's father rejoins the merchant marines to pay back the mortgage and has enough money to buy Conner the horse. However, when his job requires David to join the merchant marines and head to sea for five months, Connor's idyllic life begins to unravel. His grandmother becomes sick and dies, the family home faces foreclosure, and Connor is forced to sell Flash to an unruly owner who beats the beloved horse. Connor then rescues Flash and together they set off on a cross-country journey to reunite with Connor's father.

    I still watch this film over and over again and every time I watch it, it gives me different morals but always touches my heart.

    That's a really good question lips. So many heart wrenching films HAVE been kid friendly. Maybe they handle it better than us adults??? Or its to condition children at a young age that life isnt peaches and cream all the time? I dunno....
    Seabiscuit is another I cried in. Old Yeller too.
    Imagin...Matrix? Really? That's a first.
