  • Hi,
I am new here but after reading your posts on this forum i can tell many of the LCB members made new friends and this may be a reason they log in many times every day to see what's going on around here, how is everyone doing, maybe take a look at new promotions at the casino's and so on... but i think that being a gambler and being able to interact with other people with the same hobby is nice.
Maybe some of us could have more in common that just gambling, and that is why i would like to check (it would be interesting) what jobs do you have, and how much free time you have.
I guess i'm the first to post my job, so.. i am a land surveyor, i make measurements of people's properties,  but most of my time i have to move to other places for months, working on bigger projects, where i make the design of new roads that are going to be built.
sometimes i have a lot of free time, but other times maybe i could be in the middle of nowwhere making measurements.
However, i had before other jobs, one of them being a central cashier in a land based casino.. i think that was the moment i started gambling, because i saw many guys coming with small money and getting out of there with a huge smile on their faces ,winning money that  maybe they earn in one year. but all the times there are sad stories. I remember a taxi driver that won one day something about 20.000 but two or three weeks later he managed to sell his ouse, his cab, the last thing he sold was his tv. and of couse after losing his tv money he was kicked out by the bodyguards becasue he had broken the roulette table.

hope you post our stories also.
    cheers wink

  • Welcome mihag!

It's true- it's nice to be here in a place where others enjoy gambling as much as you do. Alot of time I find "the outside world" thinks it's ridiculous, or silly to gamble online, and either laugh, or look at you like you've lost your mind. But not here.

I've been a member for only a few months, and find myself posting & interacting more & more each day.

Job. huh? What is a JOB? laugh_out_loud. Myself, I'm lucky enough to be a stay-at-home wife/Mom- although my daughter's now in school. So, I guess I can say my 'job' duties include; maid, laundry lady, chef, errand runner, landscaper, interior designer, mentor, organizer, personal finance assistant, personal assistant, nanny,.......shall I continue on all the jobs a mom/wife have? lol
But before that, I was a Cosmetologist, a waitress, bartender, veternarian assistant, and I was also in the US Navy for 3 years.
I currently do p/t work online for KGB- haha- you know, the 'text your question' company. But I only do that a few hrs/week. I guess I prefer to make a living off of casino winning. heehee.

Nice meeting you, and I hope you stick around here. There's so much to do & talk about. smiley

  • Well, right now my job is to drain my unemployment account with the state till it's gone smiley

  • Welcome to LCB.  We have a great time in here.  I am a former Juvenille Corrections Officer, Sr. Admin. Asst., Court Clerk, and now I just ride my broom as you can see by my picture.  Make sure you check out Vegas Regal and Tropica.

  • I've mostly been employed within the financial industries since about 1983, mostly as a loan officer then into middle management in the 90's.  Left the banking world in the late 90's to open a mortgage company with a partner and ran that until about 2007.  After my husband died in 2004, my priorities in life changed and decided I had reached my quota of stress and was tired of the mortgage/financial industry so closed the company down.  I took a year off from working and spent a lot of time enjoying farm life and then had to rejoin the workforce again for financial reasons so am now working in an office doing lots of operational support/clerical stuff...nice 'no-brainer' kind of work.

In addition to the 'real job', I run a hobby business from home, internet based webstore where I retail parrot toys/supplies (since 2000) and I am also a licensed pyrotechnician, work on a few aerial fireworks displays during the course of a year...with the 4th of July obviously being our busiest time of the year.  I do enjoying setting those shows up and then lighting the mortars :-)  A little danger involved but our company is extremely safety & training oriented so we take great pride in our impeccable safety record.

  • I worked at a production plant for 6yrs before being a stay at home mom for 6 more. I did it all out there-operated a press, assembly, welding, shipping, and I loved it. I am just now getting back into the work force now that both my kids are in school full-time. I work at the college here, which is great because I get the same holidays as the kids.

  • I've been in social work 4 16yrs; I'm now in administration, still social work, 4 folks who have mental retardation/ developmental disabilities.  I am so blessed to work in this field; I absolutely adore developing programs that enable those w/ special needs to excel....
    Welcome 2 LCB; we're a gr8 bunch wink

  • Tin, bless you for doing that sort of work. You have to absolutely love that line  of work because it isn't about the money. Coming from the mommy  to a special needs daughter, I realize how important and hard-working persons like yourself are.  Each of us deserve the chance to reach our fullest potential.

Thank u 4 your kind words; the folks w/ special needs that I've worked with over the years have taught me SO much about life; love; and unconditional acceptance.  They r my inspiration.

    May God bless u wink
  • People will sometimes ask me what is wrong with my daughter. I just look at them and say, "nothing is wrong with her". Because there isn't. Each of us has a place in this world. Just because she will never drive a car or get married doesn't mean there is anything wrong with her. She is my sunshine and I could not be more proud. My son, who is 7, told me that we was going to marry his sister so he could take care of her. laugh_out_loud

Sorry, not trying to hijack the thread.

  • Hey Mihag,

Welcome to LCB. Nice to have ya here!

For me I have had only 1 job my whole life. I started to work for a major retail chain when I was 17 and I retired after working my way up to V.P. of East Coast Operations, because I couldn't go any further because my boss who was the President of East Coast operations was the same woman who hired me when I was 17. She is only 5 years older than me and has no plans in retiring or leaving the company. So after 21 years, I got my Tiffany watch and retired. Now I devote my life to my wonderful hubby and beautiful 8 year old daughter and Loving every minute of it.
