    As we probably all remember,

    There was a small town basketball game where one team lost 100-0 (They actually haven't won a game in 4 seasons either!)

    Now, there's a high school football team that scored 83-0.

    Recalling a bit of history. I recall a college game The 1916 Cumberland vs. Georgia Tech football game score was 222-0

    So, what's the answer? I know when I was in high school, we had a 42 point margin one game and I have seen the pros slam their opponent by 45-55 points (I cringe thinking of one game Dallas V Seattle, but they got their payback!)

    So, should we stop the game,  or say "That's the way it goes?"

    Slaughter rule?  When you look at historic scores of 222 to zip, we want to say yes.  But, WHERE do you set the bar?  You CAN come back from 30 pts behind....or even 40.  So, I would say no slaughter rule.

    Or let the winning team decide when to call it a day. Its their win and their victory......they deserve to call the shots.....not just in baskets either!!!!!
