    This has got me so frustrated i had to take a walk outside to calm myself...its got me all emotional!

    I have one of those restuarant style glass sugar condiment dispensers with the metal screw on top... well SOMEBODY screwed the cap on crooked and for the life of me i cannot unscrew the lid to fill it, it is locked-tight onto the glass jar lips.. i've had this dispenser for years and keep reaching for it to put the sugar in my coffee.. it's like i'm lost without it..

    does anyone know of ANY secret to get this friggin cap off.. so i can get back to a normal life?

    Hey imagin we had that very same problem a couple of months ago. We tried boiling water to make it expand and/or unstick, soaking, tapping it to make it turn, pure muscle power... nothing worked. Then the hubby took a table/butter knife and went around wedging it under the lip until he found a spot that allowed him to pop it off.

    Get a thick rubber band and wrap it around the top.  The extra grip might be enough to shift it off.

    You've got a couple of good suggestions here Imagin. My husband breaks my champagne and wine glasses. I could choke him. If he messed with my sugar it would be a deal breaker.

    Hope you got that cap off by now guuurrrrrrrrrrll! I know what ya mean about having a favorite of something. I have a coffee cup i have to drink out of and if it breaks i don't know what i will do!

    Some things are just not replaceable no matter what the cost.

    I tried all the suggestions and still can't get it off.. i'll sit staring at it, my head tilted, face disgusted and my fingers roll tapping my counter in exhaustion.. i can't give it up, it doesn't let me give up.. the cap went on so i know it's got to come off..

    if someone can patent something like this they'd make a fortune
