Why i'm United states of America citizen suddenly :O

Ok so the topic tells all. For some reason i appear to be U.S citizen now, even thou i'm from finland ? Any idea where i can change it, or could admin check it?

Sorry, I only know how to turn off the option to display the country flag next to my username in the forum, not to change it to a different one. I've also noticed the US flag pops up when I comment on other parts of the site, even though the correct one shows up here when I choose to show it 

I think the flag is shown automatically depending on your IP, so I guess you're logging in from a different internet connection that somehow is interpreted to be in the US.

I'm always on the same computer so it's really weird, and earlier it shown as Finnish resident.. O_o

I was in the USA too at one point    I'm sure it will rectify itself eventually.  Alternatively turn it off in your profile, which is what I've done.

It might be something to do with your Internet Supplier.
You may not have a fixed IP Address......

I have the same problem, i can't say that it's a problem, but one day i'm from Lithuania, next day i'm just European

I think maybe it is something to do with CloudFlare, that Zuga mentioned was being used by the forum.

I did have a different IP at one point, but it was still a uk one, so i still got the UK flag, but i dunno why some have this issue and others dont, maybe it is something to do with CloudFlare servers in each of the members countrys, who knows

You might be right DreamRJ, CloudFlare have servers all over the world and that might have an impact on how the IP is reported back to the site.

I saw a US flag as well (I'm from Serbia), but I don't complain, and wouldn't mind to make it permanent

this flag comes from a DNS server I assume.

Well, I actually like the Finnish flag

We have improved our own flag geo tracking and it seems it fixed the issue that few members had.

At times we have no influence as to what flag will be displayed as it comes down to the kind of ISP service members use, DNS, cloudflare, and even if a proxy is being used etc.
