You will see this in land based casinos

we have many casinos here in San Diego, California.  I went to different casinos almost every week before (but stop now  , playing mainly online casinos).  Anyway, I saw people like Grandpas/grandmas go around and ask if they can put their casino player card in the slot machine that I play so that it generates pts for them (they can convert to cash as pts build up).  Another type of these people are young (21-30 yrs old), ok looking , hang around the casino, saying that they lost all their money and ask if they can put their player card into our machine.  I didn't think over this at a time and let this girl sit next to me and put her card in the machine I've been playing.  The next time when I came back to the casino, I still see them walking around doing their normal things.  I figured out these are no good people, lol.  What if I won the jackpot with her player card in the machine, she might turn around and said that was her money playing, then nothing I could do about it.  will the casino review the video if this thing happen??

why would you let someone else put there card in your machine if you were playing it??? don't you want to build up your own comps???  they really add up.

the last time I was playing at the casino, they came over to me, and gave me free tickets to the fights, tickets in the vip room, room for the night, etc. If my card wasn't in the machine, they would never have been able to find me.

I had a player card, but I didn't use it.  I only show my card for buying chip at the table.  I felt sorry for them, because like i said, old people, people who just lost all their money (they lied, but I thought they lost all their money for real at a time), I thought with little money from casino pts might make them feel better a little.  Until the next time I go there, I just leave my card in the machine and ignore these people, hehe

Well they can't claim your winnings. The casino will see that you put the money in the machine and you were playing when it hit, but I have let someone use their card in my machine before and when I hit for a few hundred bucks they tried to get me to split it with them and claimed that it was their card that brought me the good luck!! So watch out for those kind of people!!!!!

I have never been asked to use another players card...prolly cuz mine is in the machine all the time!

Interesting point about surveillance though...once when a voucher was left in a machine and was taken within 5  minutes of realizing it..Security could do nothing to help out.

That's amazing because if the shoe was on the other foot...and the casino took a loss like that...they would find it in a heartbeat.
