  • Something that catches people constantly and I rarely see it mentioned: Live casino games usually don't count properly toward wagering requirements. Slots typically count 100%.

  • We’ve all been there — losing, tilting, wanting it back. What helps you stop before the spiral? I switch to demo mode and pretend I’m still playing. Weirdly helps me cool off without the regret.

  • I literally say out loud: “That money is gone. You donated it.” Helps me snap out of it.

  • Fire in the Hole. Thought I’d be digging for gold. Dug my own grave instead

  • I just switch to video games... Overwatch for example, or something like that; and go on opening loot boxes laugh_out_loud

  • Close the site and go cook something. If I burn the food - at least it’s not more money lost.

  • Use losses as a “done for the day” signal. Like, okay, game over - go touch grass now.

  • I started setting a physical timer. When it buzzes, I stop playing. No excuses. Helps break the trance when you're chasing and don’t even realize it.

  • Writing down every session in a notebook. Amount in, amount out. If I have to face the numbers on paper, I’m way less likely to tilt.

  • Using screenshots of my biggest losses as my phone wallpaper for the day. Sounds extreme but it really reminds me what I’m risking.

  • When I lose big, I force myself to go do something physical. Like cleaning the kitchen or walking fast outside. It snaps me out of that “just one more” headspace.

  • Started playing in full screen mode to avoid seeing the balance constantly. Sounds dumb, but helps me focus on the session, not the number.

  • Trying a new thing this week: no deposits after 10PM. That’s when I tilt most. Just blocking the option is saving me real money.

  • I always just stop now and find some free roll or i just relax and watch TV . I learned long ago chasing just gets me in deeper. 1 week of no lunch for work really fixed the chasing for me .

  • Smart move. Switching to demo is a great way to reset without digging the hole deeper. I usually take a walk or set a hard limit—anything to break the cycle

  • I always set a plan for how much I’m willing to spend, and while I sometimes let myself go a bit over, my daily schedule usually keeps me in check. I just don’t have the time to keep chasing losses even if I wanted to. cheesy

  • It’s so easy to get caught up in the heat of the moment, but taking a step back to check how you're feeling? That’s a game-changer. I’ve definitely felt the “phone-throwing” frustration, and that never ends well 😂. The fact that you win more when you stop before getting too caught up is super interesting - definitely makes sense. It’s like you’re just playing smarter, not harder.

  • My cat normally lets me know when it is time to stop and instead feed him and pet him and tell him he is a Pretty Cat, and a Good Cat....

  • Like most of the comments here, I often use the demo/free mode to play the games that have drained me of luck and money consistently. I discovered that the free play is way more forgiving than spinning in the real money world. Kinda makes me wonder if the software providers have this purposely designed to encourage deposits. But nevertheless you must keep in mind that you're gambling and NOTHING is guaranteed.

  • I do not use demo mode, if i use demo mode... and we all know that it pays way more than real play, it will trigger me into playing more, so no for me it is absolutely not a good decision. Most of the time when we realize about what we have done and lost, it is too late. We all had that horrible feeling after, we just need couple days to go through it and after that we feel better. Although, i think the best thing is to budget what you want to play in a month and if you lose it, then you do not touch your money until next month.

  • I walk away from my computer but before I get the chance to.......I order pizza or other fast food! From there I'd find a tv series that's at least 7 seasons long to distract myself including ones I have missed in the past like The Mentalist or Elementary. When all else is exhausted I go for long walks to clear my head!

  • I agree that a busy schedule help with this more than anything as I am so notorious for not knowing when to quit especially when I am bored or don't have anything else to do. When I have things I have to do it's much harder to get in that losing trance.
