The most popular international currency exchange chain in Thailand, frequented by the numerous tourists that come to this Asian country, will begin offering cryptocurrency exchange services to travelers...
...Superrich International Exchange already offers 32 foreign currencies as part of their services. Along with 49 Thai locations, it also has shops in Britain and Cambodia, with Laos operations due to begin soon.
Treading New Waters
Local media reports that Superrich's management decided to embrace the world of digital assets. The company that is in business since 1965, had their president, Piya Tantivachayanon, comment on this revolutionary break:
“We would offer digital asset exchange for travellers…The company also plans to offer an e-wallet service, and we’re exploring business partners[hips] to help develop technology. There are many companies from Malaysia, Britain and Laos that have expressed interest.”
The exchange is looking to modernize its branches and adopt new technology to keep up with customer demands and with changing tides on financial market. The cryptocurrency exchange service should officially begin towards the end of this year.
Paperwork to be Done
Before that happens, Thailand's cryptocurrency regulating agency will need to review their application, as well as applications from multiple other companies who wish to begin crypto business in this country...
...Superrich has been in talks with Thai Securities and Exchange Commission on several occasions regarding the crypto exchange and wallet services.
Thailand has instated their cryptocurrency regulation on May 14th this year.
Bank of Thailand's regulatory clarity is also waited upon by Superrich, because the exchange falls under the jurisdiction of the central bank due to the fact they are in direct business of money.
If all goes as planned, Superrich will become Thailand's first digital asset exchange for foreign currency.
One the Bank of Thailand gives its blessing, Superrich will be ready to begin crypto operations immediately.

If more exchanges around the world accept Bitcoin and other digital currencies, perhaps they would become more stable and people will take them more seriously.
