Get Acquainted with LuckyNiki

Despite online gambling restrictions in Japan, the world is intrigued with Japanese design influences when it comes to iGaming brands and games. LuckyNiki hit the scene in January 2017 and has gained quite a fan base. Niki was blessed with the gift of luck, so she and her superhero team spread good juju to players while combating bad vibes on your behalf. Who wouldn’t want a squad like that behind them? Operating on the Skill On Net platform, the brand made its official debut at the iGaming Super Show in July. LCB reached out to the brand’s CEO, Mr. Mishori, who gave us some fantastic insight into the concept, games and bonuses.

1. Let’s begin by getting acquainted with the Lucky Niki brand. Tell us about the target markets, licensing and the official launch date.

LuckyNiki was officially launched in Japan at the beginning of 2017 and since then experienced rapid growth. At the recent Amsterdam super-show, we launched on the global market with special focus on the following markets: UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Finland. For this purpose, we completely localized the entire site and using Kpax’s 18 language support team of 120 agents to cater to players from these countries.

2. Considering real money online casino games are illegal in Japan, why do you think the Japanese-themed design will be a hit on the international iGaming market?

The Japanese standard for product and service is well known around the world. Therefore, we try to live up to these standards. We are making sure that our product is highly robust and our customer service can give the highest standard of support by placing the player in the center, no matter what. "Customer is God" is a very popular saying in Japan. In order to keep the famous Japanese service and hospitality, we looked for a character who can accompany our players throughout their visit. This character should have very high hospitality skills alongside the ability to be mysterious and entertaining. So after very long team brainstorming and illustrations sketches, Niki was born as our casino host. We did not end there and made an entire anime/manga-like story around Niki. From few months of operation, we can clearly say that we get very positive feedback from international iGaming players. They often say that we bring some fresh concept to a very crowded industry and that we manage to deliver on the Japanese experience with our anime/manga features.

3. Players can follow Niki’s anime video episodes, right? What can you tell us about her story?

Episode 1:

I was born in a small and beautiful island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean and was a gamer since as far as I can remember. I was playing games any chance I got. I especially liked games that needed just the right amount of luck. I don't know why, but I was very lucky. I won the regional tournaments, ranked first in the national level and very soon found myself living the dream; playing my favorite games and winning first prizes in international championships. At that time, nobody could ignore the luck I was having. It was a kind of magic and I got the nickname of the "Luck Goddess"… Today I want to give back. I feel this is my Karma. This is a brand-new video released in time for the Amsterdam Super-show. In this video, Niki, presents "TeamNiki". At day time these girls are working with Niki at the Casino and in night time they become super hero girls and fighting bad luck while spreading good luck. This episode reveals how TeamNiki got together and how they got their super powers. Each character has their own profile card.

4. What factors influenced the decision to go with the Skill On Net platform?
