Endemol, a popular producer and distributor of casino games, is about to begin a new endeavor: they have announced a new agreement with Black Cow Technology that will see them launch a new company, Playzido, which in turn will yield an open online gaming platform of the same name. The platform’s structure will be business-to-business in its core, meaning it will distribute its services and content to other operators who will then supply casinos. The platform’s content, developed by Endemol and other suppliers, will contain various gameplaying modes, such as real money playing and social media connectivity and multiplayer modes! Every game contained on this platform will be optimized for mobile play as well as desktop. Software for the platform will be supplied by Black Cow. Some of the titles mentioned early on that are to be included are Dumb and Dumber and Austin Powers.
Representatives from both companies expressed their delight and optimism regarding this joint venture. Endemol’s Managin Director, Owain Walbyoff, has said: “Playzido is an important strategic investment for Endemol Shine Gaming as it will allow us to significantly grow our footprint in this space. In addition to considerably increasing the distribution of our games, Playzido will offer operators an extensive range of marketing tools allowing them to maximise the potential of their games better than ever.” Black Cow’s Commerical Director, Tony Plaskow, commented: “We are delighted to embark on this new project with Endemol Shine Gaming and the combination of our new adaptable OGA Technology and the Endemol Shine brands is very exciting. Playzido are looking to do something genuinely innovative in the market and we are thrilled to help facilitate that.”
The company’s headquarters will be based in London and its head person will be Stuart Banks, previously of Paddy Power and Betfair.
