Back Testing Argo Casino: No BTC Withdrawal After 3+ Months and 30+ Emails

Poor Customer Service and Unpaid BTC Winnings!

So far, our testers from all over the world have explored more than 50 online casinos and over 20 bingo rooms as a part of our ambitious investigation project, bringing you a plethora of valuable insights and tips. Paying visits to both trustworthy and rogue venues, we have revealed countless useful facts, some of which were positive, the others negative.

Wanting to see how things stand with Argo Casino, our tester paid a visit to this entertainment establishment. Having registered, she made a deposit, tried to play some games, and that’s where the first difficulties emerged.

If we tell you that her investigation began on October 27, 2021, and more than three months later, her withdrawal request is still being processed, then you get a rough picture that her interaction with Argo Casino wasn’t quite the most pleasant one.

Was it because the tester failed to complete some of the requirements? Was it the operator’s fault?

Before we guide you through our tester’s lengthy and exhausting journey through Argo Casino, take a quick look at the most important moments of the investigation:

Argo Casino Overview

Licensed by Curacao, Argo Casino is a non-US-friendly online casino that accepts multiple cryptocurrencies for deposits and withdrawals. Teamed up with a whole spectrum of top-class providers, it offers a variety of excellent games. In addition to a wide array of releases, the operator is packed with a generous assortment of promotional campaigns and a 6-tier Loyalty scheme.

While on the surface things seem quite promising, this operator is placed on our warning list. Paying attention to the review page, you will see that the reasons for that are slow payouts, delays, or no payments at all, along with poor customer support.

As it turned out, our tester experienced the majority of those.

Registration

To join this betting venue, the tester was required to fill in a simple registration form. She was required to enter a couple of basic information about herself and select the currency. A confirmation mail was sent to her, so the tester officially joined Argo Casino on October 27, 2021.

Worth noting is that a customer’s account may be suspended or cancelled without notice if it remains inactive for 6 or more months.

Deposit and KYC Procedure

Having registered, she headed to the cashier to explore the available payment options and fund the account on the very same day.

Before making a deposit, she uploaded a picture of her passport to satisfy the KYC procedure. A notification arrived instantly, informing her that the document was uploaded successfully.

This is what Terms say on KYC:

“4.2. When opening an account, You should enter Your real name. If necessary, the company may require proof of identity such as a photo of the passport, selfie with passport, ID card payment, or any other necessary documents. If this information cannot be provided, the company may suspend your account action or close it if You do not provide this information.”

She opted to deposit USD 200 in BTC via Coinbase, which on the said day equaled 0.0034 Bitcoin. After a couple of minutes, a pop-up appeared in the upper right corner, informing the tester that her balance was USD 198.95, which was slightly less than the amount she deposited. This could either be due to the miners' fee or fluctuations in BTC value.

Regarding the available deposit methods, the selection includes Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether, Dogecoin, Direct Bank Transfer, ecoPayz, Interac, Mastercard, Neosurf, Neteller, Paysafecard, Perfect Money, Piastrix, POLi, RuPay, Skrill, Trustly, AdvCash, Visa and Visa Electron.

A variety of currencies is accepted as well. When it comes to the minimum amount to replenish the account, it varies based on the method selected. For e-wallets, it’s EUR 10, or currency equivalent, that is, EUR 20 for credit and debit cards.

Gameplay and Communication with Live Chat Support

She navigated here and there a bit to take a closer look at the operator’s wealthy portfolio and then decided to open her gaming session with White Rabbit by BTG. After only a couple of rounds, she switched to Astro Pandas, but couldn’t launch the game due to an unexpected error.

The tester checked out Atlantis the Forgotten Kingdom by Half Pixel Studios, and Book of Captain Silver by All41Studios and Microgaming, but (once again), an error interrupted her game. Worth noting is that some of the titles she tried to initiate weren’t permitted in her country of residence.

On multiple occasions, some freezes happened when the tester tried to activate the desired title. For that reason, she turned to live chat support, to find out what caused all those errors which prevented her from initiating those installments.

The agent responded instantly, suggesting she should clear the cache and cookies. Despite having done it already, the tester couldn’t launch them. So, the chat agent asked for a screenshot to take a closer look at the issue and the names of the titles where those errors appeared.

After listing the titles and studios whose games she couldn’t initiate, the tester was advised to try content by Booongo, Gamefish, Amatic, or Spinomenal.

However, the problems were still present. That’s where the agent came up with a couple of more solutions, telling the tester to try luck by disabling antivirus while playing the game, or disabling the pop-up blocker.

The tester logged into her account again and tried initiating a couple of titles (by Spinomenal, BTG) but the situation was the same. Eventually, she did manage to launch Beef Lightning and Royal Mint, and a couple of other releases by BTG.

While playing Extra Chilli, she triggered a couple of features. The mode with extra spins brought her no less than TWO epic wins and a total of USD 428.60 in winnings. Her balance went all the way up to USD 539.26. She had a couple of more spins and then decided to request a withdrawal.

Withdrawal and Communication with the Support Team

On October 27, 2021, the tester made a request to withdraw USD 513, via BTC, the same method she used to fund the account. She also uploaded a screenshot of her BTC wallet, where her BTC address was clearly visible.

A pop-up appeared, informing her that the request has been accepted. An e-mail arrived as well, informing her that the request was accepted, stating it would be processed in accordance with the casino’s Terms.

Shortly after, another e-mail arrived, informing the tester that her request was cancelled. As noted, USD 29 more needed to be wagered to meet the mandatory 1x playthrough requirement.

For that reason, she had a couple of more spins on Extra Chilli by BTG, the very game which brought her some noteworthy wins. She made another attempt to withdraw, this time requesting USD 483 via BTC.

Just like with the previous attempt, the tester received two e-mails, one informing her that the request was accepted, and the other asking her to upload an additional document- a selfie with the passport and the active casino chat visible in the background.

A day later, on October 28, 2021, the tester followed the steps and uploaded the required document, and the agent stated that the results of the verification would arrive “in the shortest time”.

According to the chat representative, the withdrawal request is usually processed after the verification is finalized. However, our tester noted that she already received a confirmation e-mail that her payment information was verified and approved, to which the agent responded that her request would be processed “in the shortest time”.

On November 1, 2021, the tester sent an e-mail asking when the withdrawal will be processed and got the following response on the same day:

“We have received your letter. There are some delays in withdrawal requests processing at the moment. Your withdrawal will be processed soon.”

One more day went by without the processed request, so the tester got in touch with the live chat department to inquire about the status of her request. As the tester noted, she was already waiting longer than what’s specified in the Terms. She kept receiving some generic responses, despite the fact that she was communicating with an actual person, not a bot.

She also sent an e-mail, to which the team replied on the same day:

“We apologize for any delays caused. We do our best to shorten the processing time of this enquiry. It is assured that the request will be processed.”

The tester kept sending follow-up e-mails, some of which were responded to, while the others were left with no reply. Making the situation additionally worse was the fact that all the responses that arrived were generic ones. The live chat department wasn’t of much help, as the responses were exactly the same- generic.

More than THREE MONTHS WENT BY WITH 36 E-MAILS SENT when our tester gave up trying. The last generic response arrived on January 28, 2022, but her request was never processed.

Withdrawal methods include Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, ecoPayz, Ethereum, Litecoin, Mastercard, Neteller, Piastrix, Skrill, Tether, Visa, and Visa Electron. Withdrawals are returned to the same method used to fund the account.

“8.4.4. After the withdrawal request, the account of each player must be verified. We may ask you for a photo of the documents (with your photo) that can proof Your identity, such as a passport or ID card, or other required documents. For security purposes, you need to paint the series and passport number. If you replenish your account via credit/debit card, you will need to provide a photo of both sides of it, having painted the security code (CVV2). The first six and the last four characters of the card number must be visible from both sides (if the card is embossed).”

Also, in some cases, if the management deems it necessary, a Skype conference may be requested as an ID verification method for withdrawal purposes.

Players can submit up to three cashout requests at the same time. The maximum amount of a single withdrawal transaction for bank cards is EUR 1,000 or the equivalent in the selected currency, that is EUR 500 for all e-wallets, except for QIWI and YooMoney e-wallets.

Regarding the daily limits, a punter can withdraw no more than EUR 1,500 per day, EUR 3,000 per week, that is, EUR 9,000 per month. If the sum exceeds EUR 9,000, the remaining amount is paid out in installments.

According to the Terms, the Financial Department processes the withdrawals from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm GMT +2, within 48 hours from the moment the request was sent. Payments are made only on weekdays, except during public holidays.

Finally, there’s a mandatory 1x wagering on straight deposits, that is 3x in case a player claims a bonus. In case the requirement is not met, the venue has the right to cancel the request and return money to the balance until the deposit is wagered.

Conclusion

After a total of 3+ months and more than 30 emails sent, our tester failed to withdraw the funds. On top of that, the support department (both live chat and e-mail), provided nothing more but meaningless replies which were of no help at all. This once again confirmed that Agro Casino ended up on the LCB warning list for more than a good reason. REASONS, to be more precise. Its sister sites are in the rogue pit as well.

UPDATE, February 7th, 2022:

Our tester received 0.01295BTC / $554 on February 7, 2022, a couple of days after the publishing of this test report.

it took just over 3 months and 36 emails sent by the tester, for the casino to process the withdrawal.

The amount received was higher than what was requested - the tester requested $483 (equaling 0.0082 BTC at the time of request) and received $554 or 0.01295 BTC.

When she inquired with the casino about this difference, they explained:

"yes, it was a mistake, fin dept send the sum in euro"

When she asked how to return the excess cash, the casino answered:

"I don't think we'll bother about it."
